I have been a teacher since second grade!  As I helped my junior high school English teacher Aunt Etta grade papers, something awakened inside me and a desire was born:  the desire to be a teacher.  So began my profession; forty years later, it ended with an illness (multiple chemical sensitivities).  I still teach - or share what I've learned and experienced in life.  I think these poems are God's way of extending my beloved profession, for I never wrote poetry until the very week I quit teaching.
